The Loxley Volunteer Fire Department currently has 30 members and responds to approximately 50 calls per month, including vehicular accidents, medical emergencies, and fires. Members and volunteers meet each Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at our main fire station.
The department now has two working stations to serve our community. Station 1, our main station, is located at 1051 Railroad St. in the heart of our city. Station 2, a three-bay facility, is located just outside of Steelwood on Truck Route 17. Due to our area’s rapid growth, there are plans to add at least two new stations in the near future.

Mission
The Loxley Volunteer Fire Department is organized to protect the lives and property of the citizens of our fire jurisdiction by providing fire prevention through education, code enforcement, and suppression of arson; by providing fire suppression through safe, effective, and efficient use of equipment and personnel; and by providing rescue services after accidents or disasters for our community.
The Loxley Volunteer Fire Department was created in 1961. Since then, members of our community have selflessly given their time and energy to protect the lives and property of our residents. By training, responding, and working hard together, they have forged an organization with a proud tradition of service to our community.

Our members serve a rewarding and exciting cause, receive free professional training, and share a camaraderie rarely seen outside of public service groups.
